Bio:
Lloyd is a Lecturer at the UKZN, School of Law, Howard College Campus, Durban. He holds qualifications in Bachelors of Arts (BA) and Bachelors of Law (LLB) obtained from the University of Natal and a Diploma in Project Management (VC). He has also obtained a Certificate in Intellectual Property & Access to Medicines from UKZN. He is currently studying towards a Masters in Law (LLM) degree in Law and Medical Practice with UKZN.
He has lectured in Street Law, Introduction to SA Law, Foundations of SA Law, Legal Studies 1 and the law of Delict. He is a Director of Street Law South Africa, co-ordinates the KZN Street Law programme and serves on the board of trustees for the Centre for Economic Governance and Aids in Africa (CEGAA). His research interests include Democracy, Human Rights and Legal Education, HIV/AIDS and the Law as well as Intellectual Property & access to medicines. He is co-author of the Street Law Learner’s and Educator’s Manuals; Criminal Law: Student Book and Governance.
